I have been painting for decades and thus have built up a large body of work. I wished to create a diary of those years with the best parts of some of those paintings. I wanted to honor those parts and give them a home.

I love reading, books and leather journals. I had the idea of creating a leather box that looked like a book to house the cropped elements. My friend Rosalia Galassi fabricated these 3 wonderful book-boxes, which I’ve named “Paint Box.”

My favorite parts of dozens of paintings, a diary of paint, now live in these boxes.
